July 8th - People Helping Horses Benefit Show, Black Raven Stables, Arlington, WA

Vanity's Bonfyre – made his debut today with Ms. Jordyn. They competed against some very beautiful Quarter horses and many other breeds. The day went well and the two of them brought home 1 st & 2nd Place Ribbons in their halter classes which were deep with entries, a 4th place finish in Jr. Showmanship and a 5th place in Open Showmanship. Needless to say we are very proud of the both of them!

June 22/24th - WPCSA Western Nationals, Albany, Oregon

Evans Barbary – 2 Third Place Finishes in Halter - Section B Yearling Colts
Evans Scarlett Petal – 5th with Jordyn in Showmanship

Our very first Welsh shows were great fun for Jordyn and I. We learned so much from all the different exhibitors and judges! We can hardly wait for the next WPCSA show.

June 19/21 - 37th Annual OWPS Show, Albany, Oregon

Evans Barbary - 2 Third Place Finishes in Halter - Section B Yearling Colts; 2 Fourth Place Finishes in his Sportpony - 2 & Under class

6/10/2007 - Open Show "B" System - Black Raven Stables

Jordyn Brown and Evans Scarlett Petal had a great show! They brought home a third Place finish in Colored Horse Halter (Scarlett is a Sabino) and a second place finish in Other Breed Halter. Matney Cook of TLC Training brought Senior Stallion Johnny out. He spent quite a bit of time being schooled as he thought he was stud horse extraordinarre! He did however under Matney's guidance finish quite respectably in his classes and brought home two third place finishes. We were hoping to debut his under saddle career at the show but an unexpected injury sidelined that this week, we are looking forward to our next opportunity. The youngest member of our team this weekend was our yearling, Evans Barbary, who made us all very, very proud as he brought home a first place finish in his Halter class.

5/20/2007 - Eagle Mountain Schooling Show, May 20
This weekend was the start of a wonderful show career for our Junior Stallion Evan's Barbary (*Wedderlie Maradonna x Telynau Regina by Thornberry Gamekeeper). Although his first time off the farm he made us very proud by loading beautifully and behaving even better. As the youngest exhibitor and the only Welsh pony foal he gathered many new fans, we heard quite a few requests of "can I touch him?" Also getting rave reviews was our Senior Stallion Evan's Johnny Black. The oohs and ahhs were very gratifying to hear, especially since neither pony is sporting their sleek summer coats yet. All in all we had a wonderful morning competing predominately against Quarter horses & Arabians to which Matney Cook of TLC Training and JB brought home a second place finish. Finishing third and gathering his first ribbon was Barbary and our own Melanie. The 2007 team is looking forward to filling the barn with just as many trophies and ribbons that JB brought home last year under the guidance of Annie Beamer of Unbridled Oaks

4-30-2007: Snohomish County 4H Spring Show, April 28 & 29
Our girls and Welsh did us proud this weekend in their first experience showing against all breeds. We couldn't be more proud of Jordyn and "Scarlett's" performance in the Trail In-hand portion. Jordyn didn't even have time to practice over obstacles, no matter though, as Scarlett took them like an old pro. They also did beautifully in English Showmanship. Taylor and "Girlfriend's" performance was absolutely stellar in the Western Showmanship class. They competed in a very large field of seasoned campaigners and still managed to finish in the ribbons.
