Champion stallions Evans Johnny Black and Evans Barbary were sold in 2007 as the farm underwent some unforeseen changes. Having a very specific vision of our future replacements led us on a merry chase from the U.K., to Canada and finally to set our sights on a beautiful prospect from Whispering Ridge Welsh in North Dakota. Whispering Marquis represents some lovely breeding  from the Downland and Cadlan Valley Studs in the UK. 

Marquis under trainer Annie Beamer of Unbridled Oaks took home 4 firsts and 2 Championships in his very first outing. He will be unavailable to outside mares for the 2012 breeding season as we look to advance his career in the show ring.
